Rupture disks in installation-ready sealed units, for easy mounting and simplified maintenance

There are some peculiar installation conditions – for example for very small discs, in tiny spaces – where blocking the burst disc in place inside its holder may be complex for anyone who's not a specialized technician, leading to possible disc malfunction following from an incorrect assembly – with the consequences upon the safety of the operators and the plant itself which can easily be imagined.

DonadonSDD solves this issue with a range of pre-sealed units: rupture discs welded upon the connector, or inserted in special sealed, threaded containers, ready to be easily installed even in the most critical positions with no need for specific competence.

DonadonSDD SU/M sealed units are formed by a threaded connector, formed by two pieces, containing a calibrated rupture disc. The rupture disc is inserted in the threaded and sealed container. These units have been designed to make small disc mounting in plants easy and reliable, to simplify handling without need of specialised personnel.

SU/M sealed units are suitable for use with gases and liquids in cycling and pulsating conditions. SU/M sealed units react to over-pressure in a few milliseconds and are recommended for protection of plants, plant equipment and containers.

DonadonSDD provides high-quality products that meet the safety requirements of the systems where they are installed. The organisation and procedures fully comply with the ISO 9001 standard to ensure the utmost quality for our products. Our quality system has also met the stringent requirements of the UNI EN 9100 standard concerning design, development, and manufacture of rupture discs for the aerospace industry.

DonadonSDD products – such as rupture discs, explosion venting panels, and rupture indicators – are certified in compliance with PED directive 2014/68/EU or ATEX directive 2014/34/EU. The rupture discs alone are manufactured, tested, and certified in compliance with ASME directive, Section VIII, Division 1 and carry the relative UD stamp.

DonadonSDD is subject to inspections carried out by 3-A Sanitary Standard, Inc. (3-A SSI) so that our rupture discs can meet the highest sanitary standards.

Upon request, our clients can ask independent inspectors to certify single batches.
