Rotary Digital electro-pneumatic smart positioner STEVI-POS P20 | ARI

The ARI STEVI-POS P20 is a linear digital electro-pneumatic smart positioner designed for precise control of valve positions in single-acting pneumatic actuators. It automatically adapts to valve travel or rotation angles and features wear-free, contactless position sensing using a magnetic Hall sensor. The positioner operates with low air consumption and allows for simple parameterization via handy switches. It functions with a 4-20 mA signal and offers optional feedback and pressure indication. In case of control signal or air pressure failure, the valve is vented. The device supports a stroke range of 10 mm to 120 mm for linear actuators and a rotation angle of 25° to 100° for rotary actuators. It operates with a pneumatic supply of 1.4 to 7 bar and has a protection class of IP66. The positioner is made from durable materials like polyamide and polycarbonate, and it can be mounted in various positions except with air connections and silencers facing upwards. Optional accessories include NPT air connections, manometers, and an analog output card.

Functional Description
:

  • The ARI-STEVI-POS® positioner is designed to convert a 4-20 mA electrical signal into a valve position for single-acting pneumatic actuators.
  • The positioner detects the actual position using a contactless, wear-free Hall sensor and compares it to the setpoint.
  • The pneumatic module adjusts the pressure in the actuator to match the setpoint within a defined deadband range.
  • Deadband: Can be set automatically or manually to values such as 0.5%, 1%, or 3%.
  • Tight-closing function: The actuator is completely vented to maximize force for closing when the setpoint goes below or above adjusted limits. This function can be switched on/off as needed.
