Relative & Differential Pressure Transmitter - DP5-R | OMC

The DP5-R Relative & Differential Pressure Transmitter by OMC operates on the force balance principle and includes two primary components: the measuring unit and the transmission unit. The measuring unit detects pressure variations using two forged bodies and a bellows. The transmission unit converts the differential force from the measuring element into a proportional pneumatic output signal. This output pressure, managed by a flapper nozzle relay, adjusts the feedback bellows until equilibrium is achieved between the bellows force and the measuring element. The entire transmission unit is housed in a water-resistant enclosure. The device is available in versions compliant with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/UE for use in Gas Zone 1 and Dust Zone 21 environments.

Description

The DP5-R works on the force balance principle and consists of two main units: The measuring unit which detects the pressure variation and consists of two forged bodies and a bellows. The transmission unit converts the differential force applied to the measuring element into a proportional output pneumatic signal. The output pressure, generated by a flapper nozzle relay, feeds the feedback bellows with a rising pressure until the balance between bellows force and measuring element is reached. The whole transmission unit is contained within a water-resistant housing.
