Relative & Differential Pressure Transmitter - DP5-B | OMC

The DP5-B is a relative and differential pressure transmitter that operates on the force balance principle. It comprises two main components: the measuring unit, which detects variations in differential pressure using two forged bodies and a measuring capsule, and the transmission unit, which converts the differential force into a proportional pneumatic output signal. This output pressure is managed by a flapper nozzle relay, which adjusts the pressure until equilibrium is achieved between the feedback bellows and the measuring element. The transmission unit is housed in a water-resistant casing. The device can handle a static pressure limit of up to 75 bar and is available in versions compliant with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/UE for use in Gas Zone 1 and Dust Zone 21 environments.

Description

The DP5-B works on the force balance principle and consists of two main units: The measuring unit which detects the differential pressure variation and consists of two forged bodies and a measuring capsule. The transmission unit converts the differential force applied to the measuring element into a proportional output pneumatic signal. The output pressure, generated by a flapper nozzle relay, feeds the feedback bellows with a rising pressure until the balance between bellows force and measuring element is reached. The whole transmission unit is contained within a water-resistant housing.
