The Model X130A Deadman Control is designed for use with compressed air. It utilizes a three-way air valve which is spring-loaded to be normally closed. When the Model X130A is activated, the valve shifts connecting the supply hose to the outlet hose. When the lever is released, the Model X130A closes the supply hose and vents the pressure from the outlet hose to the atmosphere. The Model X130A has a large vent port to discharge air rapidly.

To ensure safe fueling, all fuel dispensing systems should be equipped with handheld Deadman Control to stop the flow of fuel when the operator releases the handle. Cla-Val’s lightweight X130A Pneumatic Deadman Control is designed for use with compressed air and supplied with red anodized coating for maximum visibility.
If additional security for pilot controls is desired, the X140-1 Security Locking Cap can easily be retrofitted in the field. It can also be specified on a new valve.
